THE LONDON EYE

On 26th June 09 at last it was our trip to the London Eye, we had been waiting in excitement for this trip for a long time. On the day we were all on time at school. Everyone was talking about it.

At last we left school with our parents and reached London Eye, travelling by two trains. It was massive, a big giant wheel. As we were waiting in the queue, Mrs. Moezzi informed us that the London Eye is also known as The Millennium Wheel.  It is 135 meters high. It is the biggest ferris wheel in Europe. It is located on the South Bank of the river Thames in London. It takes half an hour to complete one resolution. There are 32 capsules, each carrying approximately 30 people on board.

From The Eye the view was spectacular; we saw the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben. It is on River Thames and the view was wonderful. We saw different bridges and boats gliding across the river. We saw crowds of people and traffic which made us aware how busy London is. When we were quiet we actually heard Big Ben.

We had a wonderful time and returned back to school exhausted.
