Attendance Policy

We want to see all pupils reach their full potential. Good attendance at school is one of the main factors in determining your child’s future and opportunities in life. Good attendance means coming to school regularly, on time and arriving prepared to learn.

The facts are that pupils who miss school regularly do less well in terms of achieving their full academic potential. We expect all pupils to attend more than 96% of the school year. We respectfully ask that children are NOT taken out of school during term time for family holidays as this can have a significant negative impact on the child's self confidence in addition to the learning that they will miss.
