Equality and Diversity

At Beaconsfield Primary School we want every single child to feel a deep sense of belonging in our school, to feel safe, respected and valued.

We have made a commitment to be an ANTI-RACIST school.  This involves actively seeking to disrupt and dismantle all forms of discrimination. We recognise that this commitment is a journey and requires ongoing conscious effort to tackle racism in a range of different ways.

We are a Rights Respecting School (Gold Award) and this is at the heart of our ethos and values. Children are taught about the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child (UNCRC) and this is embedded in all aspects of school life.

We also recognise the importance of working in close partnership with our parents and carers to listen carefully to their views and experiences and use their feedback and suggestions to help guide us in our plans for the future.
