Reception

 

Miss Paignton

Children are expected to complete reading throughout the week.  Phonics and maths games are sent home each week on a Monday and they should be returned the following Monday.

 

Year 1

 

Miss Bhatti

Daily tasks – Reading and Phonics

 

Children also have a speaking and listening activity set on Friday that the class work through together on Monday.

 

Phonics skills are reviewed and tested daily as part of each lesson

 

Year 2

 

Mrs Sharma

 

Reading should be completed at home daily.  Parents should sign the reading diary.

 

Other homework is given out on Friday and it should be returned by the following Friday.  Work will usually link with the topic studied in class.

 

Year 3

 

Mrs Pun

 

Reading should be completed at home daily.  Parents should sign the reading diary.

 

Other homework consists of spelling, mental maths, times tables and topic research work.  Written literacy work is given on a Thursday to be returned by the following Thursday.  Maths work linked to the class topic is given on a Friday.

 

Year 4

 

Mr Goodall

Reading should be completed at home daily.  Parents should sign the reading diary.

 

Spelling is given out on Monday and tested on a Thursday.  Maths work is also given on a Monday and returned by Friday.  Other activities during the week may include : observational drawing, problem solving tasks and investigations.

 

Year 5

 

Mrs Moezzi

Reading should be completed at home daily.  Parents should sign the reading diary.

 

Homework will include spelling activities, maths, topic based work and other investigations.  Work is given out once a week on Friday and it is due back the following Thursday.

 

Year 6

 

Miss Towers

Reading should be completed at home daily.  Parents should sign the reading diary.

 

Spelling and time tables tasks given on a Monday and tested each Friday.

 

Literacy writing skills and reading comprehension work is given on a Monday to be returned by Wednesday.

 

On Wednesday maths work is given out to be returned by Friday.  On Friday pupils are given research/discussion tasks to be returned by the following Monday.
