School Library

Parents and carers are invited to visit the school library with their child. It is  open from 8:30am to 8:50am on the day allocated to your child’s class below.

To ensure the safety and security of our school site, parents and carers will need to present their library card to a member of staff at the door to the building from the playground in order to gain access to the library. After using the library, parents and carers can then collect the card from the same member of staff as they exit the building. Library card application forms can be obtained from the school office or downloaded here:

There will be a member of staff present in the library to scan books in and out however children must be supervised by a parent/carer when visiting the library and will not be able to access other areas of the school such as their classroom before 8:50am. Children should also be encouraged to take care of their reading books as lost or damaged books will be subject to a charge.

At Beaconsfield Primary we value the importance of reading at home and we hope children will take the opportunity to visit the library regularly to support their learning.
